Grace (all pronouns) identifies as a Black non-binary person and is currently studying at the University of Cologne to work as an English & Geography teacher in secondary schools. Beyond their studies, Grace works as a tutor at an elementary school and as a project research assistant at the MESH. In this capacity, they support Roman Bartosch’s research, for instance in the interdisciplinary project Just Futures? An Interdisciplinary Approach to Cultural Climate Models (CCM).
Since the beginning of this year, Grace has also been performing regularly in Cologne and the surrounding area as the founder of the international queer house collective Haus of Audacity, which tells the stories of non-binary artists exclusively, through performance art. As the predominantly cis male and white club culture of the city offers little space for marginalised people of the queer community, the house collective works mainly on creating inclusive spaces for Bi*PoC and FLINTA* identities in order to reform the local queer club culture of Cologne
