Saskia has a professional background in film production management before starting her academic adventure. She finished her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Cologne with the thesis „Die ANT im literaturwissenschaftlichen Kollektiv: Eine netzwerktheoretische Analyse von Bruno Latours 'Wir sind nie modern gewesen‘“ (‚The ANT in the literary studies collective: A network-theoretical analysis of Bruno Latours ‚We have never been modern‘).

Currently she is enrolled in the Master’s program Theories and Practices of Professional Writing as well as Germanic Studies and Philosophy at the University of Cologne and joined MESH in July 2022 as Research Assistant to Professor Kate Rigby. Her main fields of inquiry are contemporary epistemology (exploring social and moral questions of knowledge production and AI-systems), interdisciplinary literary studies and the Environmental Humanities with a focus on the interface of ethical and social dimensions of literature and the arts. Saskia also likes to use multi-modal approaches creating her own word art.
