Thursdays (April 6 – July 13, 2023) | 14.00 – 15.30
Gronewaldstr. 2, Faculty of Human Sciences, Seminar Room S139 (3rd floor)
This seminar reflects on current political and societal demands for climate actionand sustainability education with particular attention to the use of climate fiction in inclusive educational settings and in the context of students with special educational needs. It therefore discusses the role of visual and multimodal narratives as well as questions of environmental and participatory justice as educational key concerns. Because of the relative dearth of publications in this field, coursework includes reading assignments from a variety of research fields, active collaboration on practice-oriented group projects, and engaged pedagogical discussions.
