January 9, 2025 | 17.45 – 19.15 | Auerbach Library, MESH (in cooperation with the CCM project)
Econarratives are all around us, describing and shaping human interactions with other species and the physical environment. This presentation provides an introduction to the theory of econarrative, illustrated with analysis of a rich variety of texts including creation myths, indigenous podcasts, new nature writing, advertisements and apocalyptic stories. The key question to be explored is: can we find new stories to help bring into being a kinder, more equal and sustainable society?
